Scamless holds the buyer’s in-game coins while a trade is carried out, and releases them to the seller once it is. These are the rules that escrow runs on. They are short, and the figures in them are the ones actually in force right now — the fee, the clocks and the limits are read from the live settings as this page loads.

01What this is

Scamless is an escrow service for trades made with in-game currency on Minecraft servers, principally DonutSMP. A buyer pays their coins to us, we hold them, and we pay the seller when the thing they promised has been delivered.

We are not a bank, a broker, an exchange, or a payment processor, and we never take or send real money. Nothing on this site is worth anything outside the game.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Mojang, Microsoft, DonutSMP or any server operator. Their rules apply to you in their world regardless of anything written here.

02Your account

You connect by sending a specific amount of coins to dystany_ in game. That payment proves the account is yours; the coins you send land in your balance and are not a fee.

  • One account per Minecraft account. Alts used to inflate a trading record, dodge a ban, or bid on your own listings will be removed.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. If somebody else has your Discord or your game account, they are you as far as this site can tell.
  • Everything you agree to on this site is agreed as the player behind that IGN. Trades are between you and the other player — we are the escrow, not a party to the trade.
  • You must be old enough to use the server you are trading on, and to enter an agreement where you are.

03The coins we hold

Coins in your balance are held by us for you. They are not ours, we do not lend them, invest them, or trade with them, and they earn nothing while they sit there. You may withdraw any coins that are not locked in a live deal at any time.

Deposits and withdrawals are made by our bot paying or being paid in game. A withdrawal is queued and then paid; if the bot cannot pay you — you are offline, on another server, or the payment is refused — the coins are returned to your balance and nothing is lost.

We can only pay coins to an account that can receive them. If your game account is banned, or the server wipes, resets its economy, or shuts down, coins in the game may become unpayable or worthless. That risk sits with the currency itself and there is nothing an escrow can do about it.

Deals are limited to between $1m and $100b.

04How a deal runs

The order never changes, and every step is timestamped in the deal thread:

  • Request. A buyer asks for a listing. Nothing is charged and nothing is committed.
  • Accept. The seller has 12 hours to accept or decline. Ignored requests expire on their own.
  • Pay in. The buyer moves the coins from their balance into escrow. Neither side can touch them from here.
  • Deliver. The seller has 1 day to deliver what was described and mark it delivered.
  • Confirm. The buyer confirms and the seller is paid immediately.
If the buyer never clicks, the seller is still paid. Once delivery is marked, a clock of 3 days starts, and when it runs out the coins are released automatically. A buyer who thinks something is wrong must open a dispute before then.

If the seller misses their delivery window, the buyer can take the full amount back with no fee. A deal that is cancelled or refunded costs both sides nothing.

The description shown when the buyer paid is frozen at that moment and stored with the deal. Editing a listing afterwards changes nothing about a deal already running, and the frozen text is what a dispute is judged against.

05The fee

We charge 5%, taken from the seller, and only when a deal completes and they are paid. There is no listing fee, no deposit fee, no withdrawal fee, and no charge of any kind on a deal that is refunded or cancelled.

Your standing can reduce that rate as your completed volume grows — see rewards. The rate applied is the one in force when the deal is released, and it is shown to the seller before they accept.

06Disputes

Either side can open a dispute while a deal is live. The coins stop moving — including the automatic release — and a person reads the thread.

We decide on what we can see: the frozen description, the messages and images in the deal thread, the timestamps, and both accounts’ records. Evidence posted in the deal thread is the evidence. Screenshots sent somewhere else, promises made in a DM off this site, and claims neither of you wrote down cannot be weighed.

The outcome is either the seller is paid or the buyer is refunded, in full. We do not split deals. Every decision is written down with a reason, both sides can read it, and it is logged against the staff account that made it.

Our decision is final on this site. It is a decision about who receives the coins we are holding — it is not a legal judgment, and it does not stop you taking the matter up with the server’s own staff.

07What you may not do

Any of these ends the deal and can end the account:

  • Real money. No selling coins, items or services for cash, gift cards, crypto, or anything of real-world value, and no using this site to arrange one.
  • Account trading. No selling, buying, renting, or sharing Minecraft, Discord or Scamless accounts or their credentials.
  • Taking it off-site. No persuading somebody to pay you directly instead of through escrow. It is the single most common way people are robbed on this server, and doing it is grounds for a permanent ban even if that particular trade went fine.
  • Selling what you do not have, cannot deliver, or has already been sold to somebody else.
  • Anything the server forbids: duped items, exploits, stolen goods, cheat clients, or anything you obtained by breaking that server’s rules.
  • Faking a record. No wash trading between accounts you control, no fake disputes, no buying vouches.
  • Abuse. No harassment, threats, doxxing, or hate in chat, DMs, listings or deal threads.
  • Attacking the site. No scraping, automating, flooding, or probing it for holes. If you find a hole, tell us — we would rather owe you a favour.

08Suspension and closure

We can suspend an account that breaks these rules, or that we reasonably believe is being used to defraud somebody. A suspension stops new listings, deals and messages.

A suspension does not take your coins. Coins in a suspended balance stay yours, live deals are seen through to their end, and you can withdraw what is left unless the coins themselves are the subject of an open dispute or were obtained by fraud on this site.

You can close your own account at any time by withdrawing everything and asking through support. We keep the ledger and the deal record afterwards — see the privacy notice for why.

09Outages and mistakes

The site will sometimes be down, the bot will sometimes be offline, and the server itself will restart at inconvenient moments. Clocks do not care that a site was down; if an outage stops you meeting a deadline, open a dispute and say so, and it will be taken into account.

If a bug credits or debits the wrong amount, we will correct it, in either direction. A correction is written into the ledger with a reason attached, so it appears on your wallet as a movement you can read rather than a balance that silently changed.

10What we are liable for

We are liable for the coins we are holding for you. If we lose them through our own fault, we owe you those coins.

We are not liable for anything beyond that: not for the value of coins in the game, not for a trade you made off this site, not for what a server operator does to your account or its economy, and not for profits you expected to make. The service is provided as it is, without a warranty that it will be available or uninterrupted.

Nothing here limits liability for our own fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

11Changes to these terms

These terms carry a version. When something material changes — the fee, the clocks, what may be sold — the version moves and you are asked to agree again the next time you sign in. You do not silently become bound by a rule written after you agreed.

Settings that are already quoted live on this page can change without a new version; that is the point of quoting them live. A deal already running always keeps the fee and the clocks it started under.

Current version: v1 · in force from 5 September 2026.
